The D/24 Summer Rendezvous and Council will be on Friday and Saturday, July 15 and 16 in historic Madison, Indiana.
Madison is the largest city along the Ohio River between Louisville, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio. Madison is one of the core cities of the Louisville-Elizabethtown- Madison metroplex. An area with a population of approximately 1.5 million. The ma- jority of Madison’s downtown area was designated the largest contiguous National Historic Landmark in the United States—133 blocks of the downtown area is known as the Madison Historic Landmark District.
The conference will be at the Riverboat Inn and Suites on the river in Madison.
Deadline for hotel reservations is Tuesday, May 31st.
Riverboat Inn rates: Main hotel building, $105—$155; two floors – NO Elevator! Must request ground floor room if needed. Rates include a $10 discount.
- Pilot House is a two story building, 4 rooms, located across the parking lot from
the main hotel – Same rates at Main hotel Building.
- Paddle Wheel is separated about 200 yards from the main building (quieter)
and rooms on the back have a patio with views of the river. $75 – $115.
- Captains Quarters are condos, 1-4 bedrooms, call for availability and pricing.

Rockin Thunder Boat Rides
This is a very fast boat that likes to spin and make sharp turns as well. It will go up the Ohio River, turn onto the KY River, go up to lock one turn around and come back all in less than two hours. The boats can hold a total of 17 passengers each
trip. Trips are 2 -4 pm, and 5 -7 pm. Please go to www.rockinthunder.com to watch a video. We will hold spots on a first come first served basis by contacting Susan Durstock. The cost is $49.00 per person. This will be a fun ride and adventure. Word of caution….if you have bad back or neck problems, watch the video. Otherwise, get ready to get wet and wild.
