Sunday, August 7, 2016

Meet at the city docks (behind Tow Head Island)

Arrive between 9 AM and 10 AM – Mandatory safety briefing held at 10:00 AM

We will travel down the river to go through the locks and will raft-up for lunch. After enjoying the company and river time, we will make the trip back through the locks. Depending on weather and river traffic, we will plan on returning to the city docks between 3 and 4 PM.

Details:

  • Bring your boat… or not.
  • If you need assistance, we can provide an experienced hand to ride along and
help you through the locking process.
  • If you don’t have a boat or just want to ride along, there will be boats with space
for you to ride – be sure to reserve a spot so we can make sure we have enough
boats and life jackets for everyone.
  • Contact Kim Fisher to let him know if you are bringing a boat or
to make reservations for a seat on one of the participating boats.
  • Bring a picnic lunch and drinks for you (and your guests) going on the raft-up.
  • Bring/wear a swim suit if you want to get into the water while we raft up.

Contact Kim Fisher (502-544-1185) for more information or to make your reservation. If weather is stormy or questionable, contact Kim or check the Louisville Sail and Power Squadron FaceBook Page to verify the event is still happening.
