Boat Show Booth-Workers Training Session

January 13, 2020 Written by WebCaptain

Louisville Boat, RV & Sportshow 2017

America’s Boating Club Louisville is holding a Booth-Workers Training Session Thursday, January 16, at the Clark County Casting and Conservation Club in Utica Indiana beginning at 6 PM.  We plan to set up the entire Boat Show Booth in the Dance Hall.

  • Familiarize yourself with the Virtual Trainer.
  • See the Weather and Anchoring mini Boat Show Seminars.  We will welcome volunteers who would like to help with these presentation.
  • Sign-Up to work the Show.

Some snacks and beverages will be provided. Also food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Club.

Boat Show information already sent out:

At this year’s Boat Show visitors to our booth will again be able to sharpen their skills using the Boating Skills Virtual Trainer.  This powerful tool allows student to maneuver around a virtual lake in a Boston Whaler with no risk of damage to life or property.

New to this year’s Boat Show, we will also be presenting two Seminar’s daily in high traffic slots.  AND our booth will be expanded so that approximately 25 people can attend  the seminars IN OUR BOOTH!

The Seminars (Weather and Anchoring) will be promoted by the Boat Show on their website, in the Boat Show program, in a consumer email blast, and in a special seminar guide.  At the Show, the seminars will be announced over the public address system.

The Boat Show is always our largest opportunity to interact with the boating public.  We can showcase our classes, highlight our Civic Service, and simply ‘Grip and Grin’ as our past National Commander puts it. Showing our fellow boaters how friendly we are, and why they should take our classes.

We will need more volunteers than ever in order to be able to properly man the booth and host the seminars.

We have set a goal of having 50 students attend our ABC Classes this year.

Contact Kim Fisher at 502-544-1185 to volunteer.
