McAlpine Dam Lock-Through 10/09/2022 All day McAlpine Locks and Dam Address: Mile 606.8 on the Ohio River [{"latlong":["38.277961","-85.787752"],"location":"Mile 606.8 on the Ohio River","zoom":"13","infow":"Mile 606.8 on the Ohio River<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/label>\n\t\t\t\t\t 10\/09\/2022 All day<\/span><\/div>"}] Sunday, October 9 Meet at the city docks (behind Tow Head Island) Arrive 10 AM – Mandatory safety briefing held at 10:30 AM We will travel down the river through the locks and continue downstream for debriefing and a view of downtown New Albany and the Sherman Minton Bridge. We will then make the trip back upstream through the locks as experienced (?lockers?). Depending on weather and river traffic, we will plan on returning to the city docks between 2 & 3 PM. Details: We will discuss the locking process during the Safety Briefing. Bring your boat- If you need assistance, we can provide an experienced hand to ride along and assist. If you don’t have a boat or just want to ride along, contact Kim Fisher to reserve a seat on one of the participating boats (If space allows).
